The Rotrex Supercharger Kit for the 2006 to 2001 Civic SI, finally being released

The Rotrex Supercharger Kit for the 2006 to 2001 Civic SI is finally finally about to be available.

I wonder if we will be able to adapt it to our Honda Atoms without a great deal of work? Anyone already done it with this kit?

It looks like the intercooler may need to be changed to something that better fits the Atom frame, and those of us with K20A's will likely need a custom tune. I'm not willing to guinea pig this one; someone else should pick it up!

I have had 2 Rotrex units. Both junk. I would avoid them like the plague

Can you be more specific about exactly what made them junk to you?

    Hardware failures?
    Ruined engine(s)?
    Ruined Rotrex units?
    Bad tunes?
    Poor kit design?
    Poor kit fitment?
Was is a Kraftwerks kit or 'custom?'

I'm sure that anyone interested in the Kraftwerks/Rotrex route would appreciate a first-hand review.

It's a great Supercharger. I put over 25,000 miles on mine, have beat the crap out of it and it's still working perfect. Get it tuned right on the Atom and it's awesome. I can run at 1200 RPM in 6th gear through town and it purs like a kitten. Smooth low end power that is linear all the way to redline.

They need proper cooling which means a quality oil intercooler and it's critical to have it in good airflow with the right oil level and no kinks in the oil lines. Set up right, they are reliable and bulletproof. They wont work on an Ecotec Atom cause there's no place to put it.

The kraftwerk kit is a waste of most of the parts. You can buy the charger and oil tank kit for about $2300. The rest you custom buy/fit for the Atom. Many of the high performance snowmobiles are now using the Rotrex.

This looks as if it may have a Rotrex bolted to the side of it....

Was a kit designed for hayabusa engine. Installed them in a Radical with 05 busa motor. less than 15 minutes run time, s/c locked up. Sent it back to the shop--no way to "rebuild" the unit. purchased another, it ran about an hour before it failed.

Threw them in the trash. Installed a turbo. Done
