So it sounds like, so long as I don't break any major parts, I should be able to replace wheel bearings using a little detective work based on the bearing part numbers. Do you know who manufactured the aftermarket uprights? Thanks, really helpful stuff. That toe link adjustment part might be hard to find.

The 2 people that made the uprights dont make them anymore (plus they were only for the Atom 2). Tom at Unique ( www.unique-fabricating.com ) and Denis at Palatov ( www.palatov.com ) I havent heard any problems from the Atom 3 uprights.

The story I heard on this car is that it was built in 2009, the first owner made many changes, since then it has changed hands four times, with the latest being a rental service, and the last owner wanted some parts, but with all the changes, how do you either order, or supply, parts? If true, Caveat Emptor would seem to be good advice.

I know 2 of the previous owners, and just a side note, the car has not been titled or registered since the Van halen's owned it. that may or may not be good for you. I know the owner in Houston who had that car, and in fact he still has a set of wheels / tires for it that he did not get rid of, and if you buy the car and want them, he'll sell them to you cheap. The only modification he did was put on a crappy set of tires (not sure why). The second Texas owner also briefly owned the car and had the tall windscreens fabricated to help with the wind, but sold it after a very short ownership.

Before, in between and after these 2 owners it went through Lambo of Dallas for purchase / sale.

Both owners sold it because they said it handled terribly. I know a talented race driver who drove it on track in houston who agreed that the suspension installed during ownership of the van halen's did not help the handling of the car, it made it worse.
