    raising the rear fenders

I got a band saw yesterday so will be going forward with making cheep fender mounting spacers and will post some pics here.

with larger wheels on the rear 275x17 and larger fenders the fenders need to be raised and moved inward to match the wheel. I've done this with washers but will be making an aluminum spacer to replace the washers.

Having grinded down the openings on the fender bracket it still is a little too low over the tire

so will be cutting the aluminum bar (2x.75") to make a spacer for the fender

First one done. Though I want to grind down the corners a bit. No offense to Tom, but the cost of the band saw, drill press, and aluminum was still less than what it would cost to get the fender extension brackets. Not nearly as pretty though

    Nice work Bolus!

Are those the standard size rear tires mounted currently?

Interesting way to solve the 295 width problem. I might be looking to make a set of these myself.

Sorry, I meant 275 wide tires.

The last pic is with the custom wider fenders (12" wide) with the 275 tires.

I ordered some more aluminum to make a few more sets of these. I have 2 people interested, if anyone wants a set let me know. I'll just sell them at cost which is about $10-15
