Awesome! Shelton if I remember correctly. That's Saturn V's car
Yes, that is the new track in Shelton, and yes, that is my car.
The track is fantastic. Very nice layout, very wide track, glassy smooth, and lots of elevation changes, off-camber curves, etc. The track has the variety and excitement of ORP, the speed of PIR, and the elevation change of Pacific Raceways.
Also, the staff is very friendly.
Pacific Raceways should take notice - they aren't the only game in town anymore.
OK, NW Molecule members - let's put together a track day this summer at this track! Anyone want to head it up? If so, plz start a thread in the PNW Forum, and link to it from this thread!
Oh - and what video system are you using there?
I am doing some work at the track and got my precision GPS out there and mapped both edges (0.02' +/- static solution) I made a 3D pdf of the track that really shows the place we are not going to call the cork screw. I know that without the ground it is easy to spin the darn thing so you are lost, just make sure the "Z" arrow points up. It was made from a 25' sampling and I have Lat, Long and Ellpsoid. I am going to try to store the edges in my Garmin so I can see where I am on the track. Should be easy, but, Garmin does not make their internals that easy.
Please note, I have used the standard engineering vertical exaggeration of five times. I made the pdf at 1:1 and it just didn't show it. You drive the track counter-clockwise, so, you arrive at the downhill esses from the top, very cool
