Right about now I am having trouble feeling sorry for somebody with Venice, CA in their sig ...

The reason I like the Trailex is that it is all aluminum and weighs less, .... so why do I have a V10 tow vehicle?

Unless your 4' tall or pulling with a honda pilot, I'd get a full height trailer. It's a pita to hunch over ingress/egress out of a lunch box. I'll typically park my car in the trailer between sessions rather than leave outside.

Get a full height V nose trailer, they are not much more and the wind penalty for the extra height is not that much.

I agree Dennis, that is why I would order the extra 18" height for a still too low total.

What's your current garage ceiling height?

I'm in favor of stacking in the garage. Very cost-effective use of space, more secure than outdoors/elsewhere, close at-hand for work or ogling.

I'm very close to pulling the trigger on one of these one-post lifts myself. Very low intrusion into the existing garage space, and they don't require a really tall ceiling.

Info on this lift in particular can be found here. It's amazing what's out there for lifts that can be had under three grand or so.

Years ago I had a side picker like that. Each has their benefits, but, overall I prefer the side single post over a dual post. Dual post can leave most the underside open where a single will give great access from one side and generally block the center under. I left it at my last house

I like that.. should have put two back to back in my garage.

I have a four post drive on in my garage. Has paid for itself in storage costs well over the times I've used it for working under.

My garage is a jigsaw puzzle of which car is on top and bottom and which direction to clear the garage door. Better measure on how the garage door plays into the mix. I have the garage height but had to put a special track to let the door go up another foot before it broke horizontal to lay over the hood of the upper car. I can raise the car with the door closed but have to make sure that it is in the correct setting to open the door to get the bottom car out.

Spent many a night cyphering that one..

My current car is 4ft from roof to floor.
The garage opener is 3.5ft from that.
so I have 7ft to stack up my current car and AA - would that me enough?
AA I believe is 47" or so so it wont work even if the lift fits.

I could take the automatic Garage opener out.

    Ceiling height is 9ft 6"

How do you feel about a chop and a section on the current car?
