You mean Yucko tires. If you want maximum bite off the line, use a better suited tire.
The power of an Atom is a terrible thing to waste! Atom owner/operator since 2007. The more you chase perfection, the faster it becomes. John Force for President! (I asked him once in person...he laughed)
I dont know about the Honda but there are a couple of guys that destroyed their transmissions doing hard launches on the drag strip with the Atom2. Just be careful
The Eco does have bad case flex.
^All transmissions have some case flex. The F35 (Ecotec equipped Atom) transaxle is actually very stout, and treated with some respect, very rugged. Not really relative to this thread as the OP has a Honda.

I think we all knew we were talking apples and oranges. The gear set on the F35 is strong, but, the case does flex bad and it is the weak point when pushed. Unfortunately, I have nothing to add regarding the Honda
First gear is crappy and rated for about 100 ft lbs. They offset this by making the cobalt torque limited in the ECU in first gear. Our cars dont have this but since we are light we just spin the tires. but combine that sticky stuff on the drag strips plus sticky tires and people have destroyed their transmissions.
If the F35s were weak, I would have exploded mine many moons ago. I have seen people destroy even MTX75 transaxles (one of the strongest stock transaxles built)..there is a right way and a wrong way to execute a launch. My tires don't spin...![]()

Hind sight being 20/20, when I was having the six speed installed, I wish I had gusseted the thing. Not worth going back in for.
