Curious could not find info online.
Once a VIN is issues, how do you put it on the car? Etch it or can you get plates?
And where do you normally put it?

Nice - the DMV gives these plates? or you have to get them made
Sorry I have no clue and google didn't give me much
In Virginia I submitted paperwork to the DMV in Richmond that I got off their website. This included pictures of the car from all angles, and multiple documents TMI provided me. Two weeks later two DMV LES officers made an appt with me to come and see the car and install the VIN. They brang the plates and a title for the car. (LES - Law Enforcement Services)
After a quick stroll to the DMV I registered a specialty constructed vehicle with Virginia as a roadster style.
I would start here.

Thanks - I have the NJ stuff but it didn't say they give VIN plates, I know it was a novice question . But if I don't know I got to ask
I will be getting the specialty package in a week or so, I'll no all the details.
