New Member wanting to say Hi from Michigan

Can't wait till my atom 3 rolling chassis that I got off Ebay gets here from Oregon. I got a 450hp turbo charged ecotec LNF motor to install. plus a new Dash 2 for the gauges. gloss black power coat and a new set of 17" Advan race wheels. My goal is to have it on the road by early summer. Plus i got some other plans to.

Ahh the Palatov chassis surfaces! Keep us informed of its progress. If I remember right the LNF is slightly larger than the LSJ, but, you have to do all your own mounts anyway

    Welcome!

Sounds like it will be an awesome beast! Be sure to keep us all updated with plenty of photos. Depending on your intended use (street or track) you might want to do a little chassis reinforcement before installing the drivetrain. If you anticipate hard track use, I can show you some of the places that the Brammo chassis has failed on a few cars and what I have done about it on mine.

The power of an Atom is a terrible thing to waste! Atom owner/operator since 2007. The more you chase perfection, the faster it becomes. John Force for President! (I asked him once in person...he laughed)

New member saying hi from Michigan

I will take all the advice that I can get, thanks Randy. I bought the car with the intentions of using it on the street and doing car shows with it. But taking it to the track is not out of the question. We have a nice track here in Michigan but I'm not sure of it's location and where abouts " yet ". but The only thing is that the car has cast aluminum uprights and I don't think that they would hold up to all the abuse. And as far as getting it done by summer thats my goal but I 'am married so it might not be hers

Fantastic to have you with us, Matt. Glad to see that roller ended up in the hands of someone who's not afraid to go crazy with it. Super interested to get regular updates of your progress (perhaps you should start a dedicated thread in the Projects forum?) and lots of photos.

Can't wait for your first in car video of it running! You've got plenty of expertise here at AAChat, so don't be afraid to ask for advice. The most experienced Atom tinkerers in the world hang out here.

    Hi Matt, welcome.

    (Welcome Matt didn't sound right)

Your frame and the uprights have already been the topic of discussion. Dennis Palatov was making aftermarket uprights and bellcranks. Even the standard factory ones have been known to have issues if the car is tracked regularly. Randy, as he mentioned, has been down this road.

Hey Atom Jonny don't worry about welcome matt thing , I used to get called all kinds of names like that. Photomat, Laundrymat, Wecomemat, LOL no problem. I talked to Dennis about the Uprights and the safeness (if thats a word) of them and he said that they are as strong as the welded ones, not to worry. They, guess I shouldn't say they, but someone was tring to get away from the welded ones for some reason and go to some thing different. May be the Chinnees i don't know.
