The Mono is a cool car and I tried really hard to buy one myself, dealing with the Briggs brothers before Shinoo got an import deal with them. They completely ignored me in my efforts to buy one. At that point, it was $110K before CA taxes. Even that was a bit steep for a single seater but having put almost 30K miles on my Atom and already racing an F2000 car, (which is all the Mono is with lights BTW. A similar MZR/Cosworth motor in a new F2000 car is about $70K) I would have appreciated the Mono but missed my passenger seat. As fate would have it, BAC treated me like a Leper and I'd no sooner get shot in the head than give them a dime of my money. (Shinoo in contrast is a stand up guy and I hate to bad mouth BAC to the detriment of Shinoo but they did what they did so the chips fall where they threw them so I have no qualms about venting)
$150K an amazing deal? I think that's pretty damn pricey TBH. I'd keep the Atom and drive it. 250 miles is barely a single trip to the gas station. Keep it for the summer, drive it up PCH through Big Sur to Monterey, over the Sierra's from 395 into Yosemite, up PCH through the Beach Cities in the summer heat, all with your better half or best friend as a passenger with you. Then decide to trade the Atom if you wish. The Atom is just as fast, a thousand times more reliable, less than half the price, you've already got it and paid the taxes and the cool factor is just as good with the Atom.
Best of luck whatever you do
