    2011 Atom 3 for Sale - CA licensed / K20A motor / Matte black - 250 miles

    Hey guys

I'm offering my brand new Atom 3 for sale. It has CA plates on it, only 250 miles and it absolutely perfect condition. Its the 250 hp version (non-supercharged). Its plenty fast for 99% of the general public. Matte Black...really bad ass. I'm asking 72.5k.

Reason for selling??? Sector 111 (my atom dealer) keeps on cutting these amazing deals to bring in these new cars. I have my eye on a BAC Mono, but its 150k and I can't justify owning both cars.

Let me know if anyone is interested. I anticipate it will go fast because there are 2-3 people a week calling Sector 111 presently asking for a car that is already licensed in CA. It was a bit of a pain in the ass to get it licensed. But, now it is...so my hassle is your gain.

    Thanks,

    Steven
PS: The vehicle is presently at Sector 111....

The Mono is a cool car and I tried really hard to buy one myself, dealing with the Briggs brothers before Shinoo got an import deal with them. They completely ignored me in my efforts to buy one. At that point, it was $110K before CA taxes. Even that was a bit steep for a single seater but having put almost 30K miles on my Atom and already racing an F2000 car, (which is all the Mono is with lights BTW. A similar MZR/Cosworth motor in a new F2000 car is about $70K) I would have appreciated the Mono but missed my passenger seat. As fate would have it, BAC treated me like a Leper and I'd no sooner get shot in the head than give them a dime of my money. (Shinoo in contrast is a stand up guy and I hate to bad mouth BAC to the detriment of Shinoo but they did what they did so the chips fall where they threw them so I have no qualms about venting)

$150K an amazing deal? I think that's pretty damn pricey TBH. I'd keep the Atom and drive it. 250 miles is barely a single trip to the gas station. Keep it for the summer, drive it up PCH through Big Sur to Monterey, over the Sierra's from 395 into Yosemite, up PCH through the Beach Cities in the summer heat, all with your better half or best friend as a passenger with you. Then decide to trade the Atom if you wish. The Atom is just as fast, a thousand times more reliable, less than half the price, you've already got it and paid the taxes and the cool factor is just as good with the Atom.

Best of luck whatever you do

All very good points! I'll more than likely keep the Atom until someone gives me my price. I'm not going to budge....

Shinoo is the man. We have become very good friends over the past year. I have no dealings with the BAC guys, so I can't comment on your lackluster experience with them

The 150k quoted was an approx....I really don't know what the car will cost just yet.

I do appreciate the comments. I live in Malibu and you describing a drive on PCH in the Atom is a great vision...

I think the Bac Mono is sex on wheels. However, Atoms are amazing as well. CalScot can give some of the best advice available when it comes to enjoying your Atom. I wish you the best success in whatever direction you go.

Thanks. Always liked the saying "There are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand binary and those that don't."

We did the NZ Cannonball Run again this year and tried to get number 13. (The car frame number is RAM013) Someone else had it so we ran as 1101.
