Very nice detail. Our black panels are more textured so they dont take a gloss well. But I like the matte look they have.
Do you know what they used on your seats?

I know the texture you mean, mine is 50/50 between that and smooth - I didn't expect that (and the tub) to have a mirror finish.
No idea on the seats, but the firm did mention they'll be doing a write up with method and products used, I'll post up a link when I get it.
The interesting thing for me, being very lazy, is that it has a new (yet-to-be-launched) chemical coating that ensures I don't need to wash it again for 2-5 years - either a brush down or a quick rinse.
No more washing!![]()
It would be interesting to see how such a coating works over time. dust particles still get embedded in the finish from just the velocity of impacts which need to be clay bar'd to come out. Even windshields, probably the hardest surface on a regular car, still get pitting and scratches over time. So even if they baked a coat of glass over everything it would still be hard to keep it perfect.
I'll believe it when I see it as thinking it might last 18 months+ is the only thing that helped the pain of the bill!
This coating what-sit was applied and baked on twice - details to follow when I get pics etc.
Looks fantastic!
My least fav part of Atom cleaning is removing the bugs from the intake...
Hi Chaps, Here it is in pictures, before and after the detailing - http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=260254 GTechniq EXO is the new product used, some nano technology stuff used on F1 cars, apparently, needs to be baked on to be effective (twice). I'll report back over the months/years as to how it gets on. Before -After -

Nothing like detailing a mostly new car. very satisfying. Can you give me any more information on what Ariel is using to to keep the brake lines in place? It does not look like the standard zip ties we have.![]()
IIRC (car is a couple of miles away, or I would check) they're metal clasps welded to the wishbone and then bent/clipped around the cable - I think.
