Hi all, New member from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia :)

I'm a car enthusiast, although I don't have an Atom I love them and Have a SAAB 9-3 Viggen which shares the F35 Gearbox with the Atom II. I also have a 1960's Alfa Romeo GT 1300 With a tuned 2L engine in it. 200BHP, 9,500RPM, 800KG (probably seems heavy for you guys but you know how it feels ).

I'm interested in a great handling car and lightweight mods.

Welcome. Do you have the ecotec in your Saab 9-3? If so then you have a pretty similar setup to the American made Atom's from a few years ago.

Saab's 'EcoPower' philosophy incorporates high power and torque output when it is needed, while also delivering good fuel economy and low emissions.

Basically my engine is the series of engines before the 'Ecotec' engines. Basically it's more powerful still with better fuel economy. Was the quickest SAAB until about '08? I think? heaps of torque. 230bhp and 350nm standard but with ecu tweak you can get 270bhp and 440nm so heaps of power to be had cheaply. Any questions about tuning these SAAB engines I'm happy to help. I'm not sure what people do with the Atom engines?

Another Aussie!!! great to see (even though NZ is closer to me then you are ).

Depends... I'm currently stuck all the way over here on the West Coast of the USA, even though I'm originally from the West Coast of Oz. Where you at?

And I have to ask: Holden or Ford?

    Welcome axeisme.

Not too many Atoms in you neck of the woods. Only slightly more (7) over here across the ditch (NZ).
Australia would be a great place for someone to start a spec racer series like TMI has in the US.

Oohhh... that will be fun to watch! And let's all practice the right way to say it: NIH-sun (not, NEE-sahn).
