Atom prices - gotta vent
Has nobody heard about the Top Gear video that's coming out in Christmas? That next season, around the same time, they will be doing a review on the Atom 500 around their track? I wish I had about 40k laying around to buy some of these cars, so I could turn them around for 50k in the spring (or sooner).
If you're selling your car, and you HAVE TO.. yeah, sure.. sucks to be you, but if you need the liquidity you gotta do what you gotta do. But if you want to sell.. WAIT FOR THE FREE ADVERTISING!

yeah...basically when we started buying ours.....the mortgage fcuk up hadn't hit yet, thus economy was great............Thanks Ameriquest, Countrywide, Centex for single handedly ruining the US because you are greedy....oh wait none of them are still in business...wonder why....why aren't they all serving time in federal prison for all the wire fraud they created.
I'm glad I have no need to sell.........I can only imagine what they are going to be worth in 50 years.

Re: Atom prices - gotta vent
I just thought of something else...that "should" add value to some of our cars.
The 20 or so upgrades we have done throughout the years to make the car safer and more reliable, you aren't going to get any of that on an atom with 200 miles ever driven on it....well at least it's not likely.
Safety washers on suspension bolts
CEL hook up on dash
fuel pump gaskets replaced
turn signal bulbs fixed in numerous ways
heatsoak fixed in numerous ways
steering wheel straightened out
speedo calibrated
oil accumulater maintained...(I bet 50% or more have no air pressure in the can)
exhaust fixed (even if it's just to remove the flexible sections)
and this isn't even covering the performance upgrades NOR I'm sure other safety upgrades that I'm forgetting due to no sleep last night.
To me, if I was ever to sell I'd tally up all the work I did and make it a point to explain why all of these changes make my atom much much much better then the other ones that sell for 45k or less..........at least it's worth a shot.
PBAF is what we call it.....Problem benefit advantage feature....always sell the problem of the competitor first, then prove how your product is superior in every way without disparaging the other product.
