I spent quite a lot of time in an M400 (Gumball Rally a few years ago) and that was a great car, the M600 would suit me just fine! There is a new series of Top Gear starting this weekend and they have the M600, MP4-12C and Aventador on, hopefully head to head.

Actually, does anyone know where I can get some colored carbon fiber cloth? I might consider doing my hood and intake scoop in a fancy weave.

    Thanks,

From the photos you posted, it looks like the epoxy (or even just the clear coat) is tinted, rather than the underlying fibers themselves. This is much easier than trying to color the (black) fibers before layup.

Really? Looks like the fibers are colored to me in this pic:

What is it about that image has you convinced that it is not a tinted clear coat?

Like I said, coloring graphite is much more difficult, not to mention that it also compromises the strength of the composite material.

    Ah- its a kevlar/CF hybrid cloth: http://compositeenvisions.com/raw-fabric-cloth-2/

Hmmm, might add this to my mod list. Would be cool to do my wings, intake, and nose cone in one of these colors...

    Definitely the cloth - http://www.fibreglast.com/category/157.

You know any composites shops local that you'd trust to do a simple ricer CF wrap of my fiberglass and aluminum parts?

Must be used for just the body panels then on that M600; Kevlar composite is nowhere near as strong as carbon.

I have some of that blue kevlar / CF fabric in my garage though never did anything with it. Just remember that kevlar will degrade in sunlight over time. You'll need some sort of UV protective coating over it. That kevlar is a pain to work with. It wont sand like CF and becomes this bullet proof fuzz if you sand the edges.

I wanted to do my fenders in the red weave but it was a little too expensive.

This is where I got mine
