    Are there any seat modifications for the atom 3?

    I'm looking at an Atom 3 and wanted to know what you can do to avoid sitting in a composite shell.

    3's don't have the cross-supports for seats that were on the Brammo cars. I've only seen one TMI car with "individual" seats, and it was the same deal as with the stock seat - fiberglass and bolts into the side and center console.

    I believe SRA's have the extra supports. However, production seems to be limited to cars purchased to run in that race series (though I have seen one or 2 listed for sale).

    While the individual seats that are available from TMI as an option on new Atom 3's are very cool-looking, they aren't quite as rigid as the 1-piece (or when compared to brand-name racing buckets). There are only two real downsides to the bench seat:

    1. Both driver and passenger have to share the same forward-aft adjustment, which can get awkward for a short driver and tall passenger;
    2. There is no upholstery.

    On the other hand, it does have its pluses:

    1. Lighter than individual seats;
    2. You sit lower in the car than with individual seats;
    3. There is no upholstery.

    Don't knock the fiberglass seat until you've sat in one!

    Actually you can upholster the fiberglass seat. Mine is and I know that there are several others. The people that did mine made patterns for both the regular and large benches

    I'm sitting in my Atom three fiber glass seat as I type this, and I like these things. (I'm 6'2" 200lbs) However, I'm looking forward to seeing/trying the ideas that come out of this.
