I'm driving to Virginia to see TMI's U.S. Atom factory!

Next weekend I'm planning on driving up to TMI see the U.S. Ariel Atom factory and bring back some souvenirs and I can't wait!

I still can't believe Atom's are being made practically in my back yard.

I'm going to take a bunch of pictures. Any photo requests?

I should call them and see if they'll actually be there. Grin

You probably wont be able to but try and get a pic of any left over brammo parts if they have a section for them. Just to give us a mental image of what they have left

There should be a brammo frame there for repair - probably gold.

When I was there in 2010, they had rows of shelves with the colored bins of parts that came from Brammo. I got the impression that it was either feast or famine, though - there were parts they didn't have any of, and parts they had hundreds of. This is obviously for the smaller parts (like the caps for the bellcrank ends). Brammo had run low / out of most of the larger parts toward the end - I've mentioned before that when I was at Brammo in late September 2007, there were nearly-complete cars with signs like "Do not move - no brakes installed" around the yard.

For Brammo parts that TMI doesn't have on hand, they should be able to get more, subject to minimum orders with the supplier and if the supplier will still do business with anyone building Atoms (Brammo appears to have pissed off a number of their suppliers). And there are some parts where the supplier is no longer in business (wiring harness) or where info to build the part has been lost (molded intake).

Not a photo request, but ask them if they got any of the UK Ariel-logo signs in. They told me they'd let me know when they arrived, but I never heard anything and stopped asking them about it.

This could be expanded to a more general question about whether they'll be stocking / selling any of the other logo'd stuff (jackets, etc.) that's available in the UK.

See if there is an Atom500 in the works... (and no..it's not mine...if there is one...)

I hope TMI schedules an AF'12 during the summer this coming year. Maybe they could run it concurrently with one of their Spec race dates...

Come to think of it, why don't they have a spot on this forum where we can ask and TMI answers our questions?

Personally, I would just call or email them directly. Its less of a hassle for the factory that way.
