Hmm..I don't know about hanging the air/air intercooler there...looks like it would be heated by the exhaust. Turbos like cool air as much as superchargers.

There is no cool air in Puerto Rico though, so it really doesn't matter.![]()
This car was turbo'd way before mine was so I'd suspect if there were huge power drops on the track from heat then it would have been changed by now, given the resources that were sunk into the car. Plus my tiny intercooler does a fine job.
Maybe they have it ducted from underneath.Looks like there may be some sort of heat shield between it and the header.
