    I've got a 2009 Atom 3 registered in Nevada.

    Yes, as a matter of fact it was very difficult. You'd think a state like Nevada would be easy, and it is in the rural counties where there are no emission requirements to meet. However, in Washoe (Reno) and Clark (Las Vegas) it is very difficult, since cars must basically meet the Federal emission requirements for their year of manufacture ... mine being a 2009.

    Fortunately I had a two-year grace period to work with (with all new cars before they need to be tested). This gave me time to find a Hondata technician in California who was able to configure it to pass. It required installing a new ECU (KPro), all the requisite ancillary hardware, and the programing. The good news was I did finally pass the emission test, and as a bonus, ended up with around 270hp (at the flywheel) on 91 octane premium pump gas.
