TMI retrofit windshield option for the Atom2.

Does anyone who has done one (or maybe a TMI tech/rep?)know how much weight the windshield 'kit" adds to an Atom2? If I am going to drive my Atom on track..in the rain..I don't really care about getting wet or sliding around..but I would like to see better.Don't tell me Rain-X or magic goggles.. I think the W/S with wiper may be an asset on track..as long as it does not add more than...40lbs. Looks be damned. It rains too much here in the northeast..(and I can't move..yet). . Might even help the aero at 100+mph.... can't hurt..

26 pounds comes to mind, probably emailing Mark would get you the fastest response,

I do know it will fit an atom 2 without much difficulty, they installed one on one of the Experience cars before shipping it to Texas

Max, The full windshield on my Atom 3 weighs 23.5 pounds. That is with the wiper and washer and the cowl that it is bolted to. But keep in mind that the cowl with just the tiny aero screens weighs four pounds and five ounces, so the additional weight it is costing you, is less than twenty.Eddie

I haven't seen one in person, but, I cannot imagine a better design from what I have seen. Very well done.

Less than 20lbs added...that's a no brainer. Looks like I know what I'm getting for X-Mas. Thanks all!

'Hell has frozen over" Well...I don't know about that..BUT..New England track time includes a LOT of cold, rainy days. Not to mention the "Massa" incident. I feel the windshield will be an asset to vision in the rain, add debris safety protection, and may even be more aerodynamic,as in better performance at high speeds.
For the sake of 20lbs of more weight (and a few thousand less dollars..) I feel it's worth a try..
