    Laser Scan into 3D pdf

I have been trying to get point clouds into a 3D pdf for a while now with limited results. I can get the clouds in as meshes and not as clouds, but, because of limitations on file sizes through many steps in the process it might not be possible to get good results at this time. This is a screen shot of the cloud in a pdf as a mesh. As you can see quality is low, but, it is a fully 3D object. Just not much use

Different settings and still looks like a fire victim. There is some potential here

Admit it you are bored if you are reading this. My initial though was I could perfect a method and provide my surveying customers with 3D pdf's of their sites at the conclusion of work. The point count limitations are too great for this, so, it was an exercise into what could be. The data file has to be very clean also. That would not matter for project sites, but, it makes the Touareg corner below and the Atom look horrible. Not that i couldn't sit here and clean them, but, I don't want too. For 3d models it does work fantastic!

I like how some of the surfaces are visible form the underside and not the top and vice versa. Definite software glitch there

I can answer the single sided viewing. You need to right click in the 3D image, select 3D Preferences, then under 3D & Multimedia "enable double-sided rendering"
