Minor update posted from the other armpit of the United States (Ontario, OR): http://www.atomacrossamerica.org/?p=331

Hopefully a more upbeat post tomorrow night.

But at least while in Ontario you could go visit the Ore-Ida factory and get some fries!

I'm in Pocatello, ID tonight, as expected. Not a lot to report about today's travels - 290 miles on Interstate 84.

However, I did update the Crater Lake post with a bunch of pictures, so check it out.

For your ears, why not go with a running headband over the ears? Will keep you warm and not bother your head? Should be about $2 at any walmart or sporting goods store.

    Something like this:

The problem is that I can barely fit my ears in the helmet now. I've got recesses cut in the helmet cheek/ear pads for my Autocom headphones, and it takes me a bunch of tries (usually about a half a dozen) to get my eyeglasses seated properly on my ears.

Unfortunately, the local motorcycle shop was staffed by a non-rider and she couldn't help me. She said the owners were "in the hospital". I hope they're Ok.
