Newbie looking to learn and buy- in Fla.

I have seen enough rudimentary info on the Atom but being the detail oriented guy I am need absorb a lot of advice and also see if I can get someone local to take me for a ride. Then the hunt begins.

My first question is on the "Van Halen" car. What does it take to make it legal and use it on the street?

Your mileage may vary, but it looks like the only obvious thing that it's missing is the headlights, and maybe a horn. Can't tell from the pics if it's there.

I dont know about emission rules in florida. But you probably want headlights and fenders. The car has 17" wheels on it in the ebay pics so you'll need to get smaller wheels to fit under the fenders. TMI can sell you fenders, lights and wheels I bet.

Though it has some cool enhancements to it such as the suspension and the only roll bar I think actually looks good. It's priced high because Alex drove it. Why not just get a new one rather than one with 1600 track miles?

Got an email from BJ Motors that the car is already sold

Well, that solves that.

It's that time of the year when the people who own them have either already sold them, or are too busy driving them to list them for sale. I've noticed a decided lull in activity on eBay, and on the "for sale" forums as well.

Keep looking though, you never know when one will drop into your lap. I'm living proof of that.

Just the places that you listed. You'll DEFINITELY want to post the info that you find out, as this community knows most of the older cars, and can tell you all about them.
