List of mods that I am looking at doing. But dont know where to get started.

I have the 2.9 and 2.8 pulleys so i am ready to add some boost Looks pretty easy to change, anything magic I need to know?

How do you tune these things? It has the stand alone guage, is this coneected to a programmer?

I want the wide wheels on the back. Where do I get these and are there any fitment issues? Does anyone make wider fenders or is that going to be a custom job.

Install the upgraded rear shafts. Where can I get these?

    Self cancelling turn signals.

Redo all light sockets to Led and Hid if possible

New seats are must, bolus, I have decided to get some nice seats like yours, Do I need a kit or are the bolt ons?

    Thanks a bunch guys!!!

With a used cobalt ECU you can tune with HPtuners www.hptuners.com or EFI live www.efilive.com if you can tune yourself. THese are not generally that compatible with the ECU software in the Atom so you get a used cobalt ECU and start with that.

If you dont tune yourself, then you will need a tuner local to you to do it or do a remote tune with Trifecta. Silver has experience with them

You'll need a new exhaust before you do anything else. The one you have is restrictive and you arent going to get very far with it. Sector111.com and DDMworks.com have aftermarket onces.

You probably wont be happy with just going to a smaller pulley. The Atom has inadequate cooling ability of that supercharger so the smaller pulleys leads to more heat leads to loss of power unfortunately. So I would put a power increase at the end of your list because it will be expensive

Wider rear wheels are covered on the forum. At first, I put 17x8 with 245's on my car with the original fender. They fit, but just barely. You need to raise the fender up a bit and there are several ways to do it. Ive since when wider and the wheels and basically brand new R888's are sitting in my garage if you want to buy them.

Several of us have since went to 17x9 with 275 and wider fenders. The fenders can still be made but they were basically a custom on time group by that I organized and dont have the time to facilitate orders for them anymore. If we can figure out how you could order them directly that may work. You need a little more work to raise the fenders with 275 tires

You should have the top of the line driveshaft that the driveshaftshop makes. No need to change them unless they are broken.

Easy self canceling signal mod here

You should have the frame components for the seats now. FrankRizzo is thinking about replacing his recaro's for the fiberglass seat. You should talk to him.

Or you can get the seats from TMI probably. You may want a center console as well.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH SMALLER PULLEYS. you're not going to acheive sustainable power increases. Your climate is too hot and your IAT2's will get so high that the ECU will pull out even more of your timing and boost.

You can achieve about 230whp, regardless of which pulley 2.8 - 3.3" if you tune it right and leave everything else stock. If you add meth injection you can get up to about 250whp.

If you want more, you'll need to change the supercharger or switch to turbo. Take my 4 years of tinkering as you want but I promise you don't want to waste time with smaller pulleys on that stock blower.

Eddie Hill got his to 255whp on meth and 2.8 inch pulley and full tune and stock exhaust but different muffler...the key to his success is his tune and his meth injection keeping those IAT2's in check.

Man, I thought that was going to be an easy mod. Do you guys feel Eddie Hill knows what he is doing? He is not very far from me so that would be pretty easy. I am going to take the advice you guys have given me and focus on other mods. My problem is I am used to 1000rwhp Vipers and while the Atom has awesome low/mid range power, it lacks power up top.

Does the exhaust make much difference?

Turbo, you need a turbo. The exhaust by itself does absolutley nothing. The stock tune sucks, the little m62 supercharger runs out of gas around 5500rpm, and the intercooler is a joke - especially with your texas heat.

If Eddie is willing to help you he would be a great start. He sells Harrop superchargers as well.

    Hmmm, Stroked out with twins

Has a twin turbo ever been done? And what information is there out on a single?

A twin charge has been done by DDMworks. no twin turbos though.

But I'd argue that darth and I have the 2 best turbo builds out there. Yeah there are 600-650hp turbo builds but I think we have the sweet spot for a turbo Atom of power, fun and trackability

I would love to know more on your build. First thing I thought was turbo, but I assumed the supercharger was going to be relatively easy to tweak. I also was worried about heat for when I track the car.

Id love to have the power of a turbo on this car. Lag is not an issue?

I think it would be best to see what Darth does with his Borg Warner turbo build. That thing is going to give him 100 more HP than his old turbo and spool up 500 RPM sooner.

I have did a pretty comprehensive build - engine, fuel, turbo, every other part on the car A lot more than I needed for the power I am running but it would be pretty easy to dial up the boost in my car when I am ready without doing much more work.

My engine has new pistons, rods, valve springs and valves, and is minus the balance shafts

For the turbo, half of my stuff came from Hahn
    http://www.turbosystem.com/ProjectVe...ent%20Page.htm

Super20G turbo, exhaust and intake manifold, boost controller and various parts

The rest came from Tom at unique fabricating
    http://www.unique-fabricating.com/pilot.asp
intercooler, methanol injection, exhaust, charge piping, intake, return fuel system, fuel pump and filter, injectors, bunch of other stuff

    Darth did the tune

Im at 15 psi of boost - just wastegate pressure. I havent gone over that yet. ~320 WHP with the torque peaking at 4000. The lag isnt bad at all.

Tom also did Norm's harrop build
