Looks like this module supports LEDs. It's more expensive, but is it more expensive than the SDC unit plus the LED regulators? It also eliminates a bunch of splices.

EDIT: Just found a link to the SDC one that says it ALSO supports LEDs. So it looks like the SDC is the way to go. Ordering one now.

But would the SDC unit allow us to bypass the flasher altogether? Their wiring diagram leads me to believe so.

I just bought this one on eBay for $66.49 including shipping (slightly cheaper than SDC direct or Amazon).

There's one left on that auction if anyone else wants it.

see my wiring diagram. You bypass the flasher since it is solid state in the SDC unit. I dont know if it picks up a burnt out bulb though. will try tonight

Cool - then I'm optimistic that the LED bulbs will flash at the appropriate rate. However, I'm doubtful that the system will indicate a burnt out bulb. But the good news is that the LEDs take a LONG time to burn out.

Would love to see some video of the flashing bulbs when you get them in, Bolus!
