Hey Bolus, on the shifter arms ( weighted ) and (non weighted) on the Mu3 trans do you know, or can you see if they had taken and re-drill new holes in those arms other than the factory holes? The reason is because I have to set these arms up so they will work in the Ariel insted of the Cobalt. The location of the arms are different between the two. Which means I must drill new holes. Any idea of the distance between the two holes if there is a second hole. Note the Lever thats marked ( N ) will be replaced with a new weighted style and the weight cut off and ground down smooth and polished.

It's been a more than a year since I had to change a pin, but, I remember two sets of holes. One set being obviously wrong. I can measure the angular difference in the next few days if you need.

Each of mine has a couple of set of holes. It would not matter too much which one is used, but the shift cable would then need to be adjusted by length to make it work.

I'm pretty sure that the wrong hole in your lever was the factory hole and was ment for the Cobalt, Saturn, etc. Not the Ariel , so they must have drilled a new hole in those levers at Ariel to make it all work for this car. I'm going to have to figure out the position of these levers to make this thing shift correctly. Thats going to be fun . I thought that i saw a video clip some were with the levers being shifted. I might be wrong.

is it the same transmission? The F35 or is it different with the LNF?

It does not matter too much the location of the levers, it is the amount and direction of rotation that matter. It just needs to line up reasonably well with the shift cables since they dont bend well. And it needs to avoid hitting the frame.

I have a video at home of the positions and movements. I'll try to find it.

It's the same trans that they use on the LSJ, the F35
