    Big tires

So those of you who have upgraded to 285-295 wide rear tires, what pressures are you running?

If I put the typical 16 psi in my rears they go flat. Probably not designed to be run that low on the rims. I have them at 20 now and they hold pressure just fine.

My car does seem a lot more bouncy though. If I hit a small rough spot in the road it will bounce for a while. Hopefully its not a damper going out again.

I am running in the low 20's on the 295 A6's. They hold the pressure. Not a tire expert, but, I am thinking that the A6's should have more pressure than a street tire in our cars.

355's running 25psi rear(14" wide wheels),255's on frt, running 22psi.(10" wheels) I ran less and did not care for the feel.(squirmy)The higher pressures run about 30 degrees hotter in the center (only on the rears) but the tire still wears even. I would check your dampers if it feels bouncy.

I am running the Keizer wheels. Not cheap, but very strong (forged 3 piece) and light. I run a 15x10 in front and a 15x13 in the rear

Not that strong. Mine were bent in shipping.

A wheel without a tire on it is much more easily damaged than a wheel with a tire. Truth.
I have thousands of hard track miles on my Keizer wheels and have never damaged one,and I have been across many "turtles" and bumped a few things with them. One set has seen 12 mount/dismount cycles (I flip my rear tires every other track event) and I check them for trueness every time.
You have to be VERY careful who you trust to mount your tires, as 95% of the damage I have seen done to wheels is done on the tire machine.
I do my own tire mounting,as I was sick of other people damaging my wheels.

I wouldn't know anything about mounting tires on them. Never was able to get 4 decent wheels after 3 tries.
