ECHO, ECHO! I think it's one of three things:
1. Folks are scared off by the certificate error
2. Folks assume if the certificate error gets a pass, then obviously the board is dead, so why bother.
3. Folks are out enjoying their cars, and are too busy to post here.
Been wondering this also lately. My recent Atom enjoyment has been mostly grief, actually. Sputtered when revved or driven at more than slight throttle. I had to pull the fuel pump to replace the tank's non-fuel-safe gaskets once again (did the one that was problematic a few years ago, but the other looked fine). Pump sock fell apart when touched, was also a crack in the corrugated line between the pump itself and the part at the top of the whole assembly. Delphi changed the design on the new currently available pump assemblies - top flange is thinner (so it doesn't seat right in the alum ring holddown flange without fabricating a spacer) and fuel float arm now is mounted to the pump differently and won't fit without hitting the side of the tank (inside) as-is. Bought new 1/8 Viton gasket material for the pump flange and fuel filler neck flange but after the work was all done, the material would not seal and fuel seeped past it. Just replaced it with a rubber infused cork, we'll see how that does.
The fiberglass one piece seats - the edges of the area where the lap belts pass thru the seat cutouts have cut and frayed the lap belts over time. Ordered a set of Schroth harnesses that are closest to being street legal, had to get that particular harness model shipped from Germany for some reason. Lap belt length adjusters on each side sit closer to the frame anchor points than the old harness and are impossible to adjust for length once your butt is sitting in the seat. Making some "lengtheners" out of steel to move the mounting points to allow those adjusters to be more accessible. Now, on the shoulder belts, there is a sewed folded-over section of one shoulder belt which is supposed to intentionally break and provide slack in that one side's belt during an impact. Well, this patch sits right up against the metal bracket that the belt loops thru which mounts the shoulder belts to the crosstube behind your shoulders. It limits how short you can make those shoulder belts so if I have a youth/petite passenger, I'm going to have to be mindful to check if the shoulder belts can be snugged down enough to be tight.
Aargh.

Ariel Atom 2 #094, Ecotec 300, owner since 2007. Drive, Detail, Improve, Repeat. Visit my website.
I sold my Atom nearly 10 years ago.
All of my experience is with the Brammo Atoms, which are a pretty rare breed. So I didn't have a lot to contribute toward the end when I still had my Atom. I have a bunch of other interests these days.
Also, apparently the "send email" as well as PM notifications aren't working as I found a real PM from a user mixed in among hundreds of mostly Vietnamese-language spam PMs.

Waay-back-when, GM Canada had a recall on the fuel pumps, so it was much less expensive to purchase the MU1468 recall kit on eBay than the pump by itself. That deal is probably long gone.
Whoever ended up with my Atom spares (hopefully they went along with the car and didn't get tossed) should have at least 2 of these fuel pump recall kits
