Lamp socket for rear light / brake light damaged

    Hi,

I just found out that one of the lamp sockets of my Atom 3 is defective. The rear light does still work but one side the brake light does not work. After removing the clear cover I recognized that the bulb was lose due to a defective socket. Where can I get spare parts or how can I repair that?

    Best regards, Daniel

Why wouldn't you just contact the manufacturer?

On my Atom 2, that was a normal thing. I carried a small screwdriver with me all the time to fix it. The sockets just SUCK. You can either get used to it (And carry a screwdriver to fix it), or you can do something like the previous owner of mine did, and upgrade them to something like this:

With my AA3 everytime I reached peak rpm, the two rear brake/tail light bulbs would come out of their sockets. I tried a number of solutions, but eventually found a GM replacement socket at AutoZone that literally was a drop-in replacement with no modification to the Atom. It totally eliminated the problem with the Lucas sockets.

Do you have a part number?
