Just find the thread specs and go with something that's already on the market. When I had the C7 Vette we found out the first week some Cadillac tow hooks fit and they were dirt cheap, like 50 bucks for two.

The complete lack of response is what really gets my panties all bunched up. I mean, how about an email "sorry, we are working with the supplier and don't know when they will be available". Just nothing.
Not even a response to my technical request for the thread size of the hole. Nothing.
Nothing makes me more upset than being outright ignored. I bought this frickin car brand new. I am a legit paying customer, and they can't even be bothered to respond to me. I mean, shit. I am standing here saying "take my money" and they just look the other way. Won't even help me out.
It appears they are backed up. I put a request in for parts 10 days ago and I didn't get a response yet. The most I've waited for before was 3 days. Maybe they're trying to build all those Atom 4s or they are on vacay.
They did respond to my service request I put in at the same time, in 24 hours. I asked them to waterproof the Dash 2 for free since Ariel UK is doing that. TMI won't do it. So the answer was no, haha.
Last month I submitted a parts request and got the auto response email: '...we will respond within 24-48...' Then nothing. A couple weeks later the part just showed up in the mail. A quick look showed my CC account (which they have on file) had been charged but I received zero communications from them. Pretty frustrating.
I did call them last week, and that's when they told me that the hooks were all out and they would be reaching out to their supplier. I was told they would send me specs/pics of it (which they never did). I even agreed to the price (which for 2 hooks is QUITE high, but whatever). Every bit of communication has been from me harassing them. They haven't reached out to me once. Still waiting on a response from my technical request about the hole size. Pretty lame that after spending nearly 100k on a new car, I have to buy like 20 different sized bolts from ACE hardware an try to figure out which one fits my car because they can't be bothered to respond to a simple question.
I've asked for two parts on backorder this year, the secondary radiator, and the bracket that holds the brake caliper to the hub. It's been 6 months and haven't gotten an update on either. I'd say treat backorders like they'll never happen. I went with sidepods from Ariel UK, took just two weeks to fabricate from scratch and to receive. I used time-sert on the bracket.
I should say I've also gotten some custom parts fairly easily from TMI before and good input on service troubleshooting. It's a mixed bag overall.
Far is fair- after submitting another tech request for the hook specs, I got a response and they apparently now have TWO options. They have a new run of North American hooks, and they also found a bunch of NOS UK spec hooks. The UK hooks are like half the cost, so I responded that if they really have those available those would be fine. I'll follow up here if I get them, as its only fair after complaining that I update upon resolution.
All is well that ends well. If I get them within a week or 2, I will consider this rectified and will go back to my love affair with TMI. Lol. I guess I am getting old and agitated. Seems like at work, when someone needs something from me I have to do it within 10 minutes, but in life I never get that kind of response back. Get off my lawn!
Final update- received the tow hooks yesterday from TMI. So in the end, they came through.
I also realized, upon installing them, that I am an idiot. The back hole had a slug screwed in there, which I could have removed and easily figured out the threading. But I didn't know.
Next stop- lots of track days, and soon a set of track wheels and rubber.
