    -Go-fast options: Rotrex @ 22psi

-Warning/failure if any: The OEM bellcranks failed the next day, I guess they are weak after all. GoPro 8 audio died, and then the camera itself died after the session, hence the background music.
-Anything that strongly influenced results (e.g. corded tires, rock met face): Only my third time on this track. The temps were 97*F max this day, ~90*F at the time of the lap. Tires pretty clapped out at 10 heatcycles.
-Feedback or notes: Odd that I hit 132mph coming out of the esses and less on the main straight. The Atom can exit the essess much faster than other cars.

Looks like I was able to tie with the Viper ACR factory effort:

    -Warning/failure if any:
-Anything that strongly influenced results (e.g. corded tires, rock met face): 4 heat cycles on tires, lost some time passing cars entering the straight, leaking rear tire - a Camaro totaled on the warm up lap the session before and I picked up a puncture on the rear, got a flat next session
    -Feedback or notes:
    Speed: 134.4 mph max speed
    Lateral G: 1.99

I got chased down by none other than Turn in Track Out though I didn't know at the time since he was driving a customer car. He's the quickest guy on LS, setting all the benchmark times in super/hyper cars for clients. This time he was driving an unrestricted McLaren GT4. He was a good sport and provided the video so I can make a split screen! This is the whole chase during that session and includes the fast lap:

    Circuit of the Americas (CotA)

    October 10th, 2021 with EdgeAddicts
    - best lap time - 2:28.853
obeying track limits (A lot of folks will cut the corners in T3-10 or blow past the white lines deep into the runoff area on the exit of T19 a la IndyCar to avoid scrubbing speed)
    - Me Driving with my 200lb buddy riding along

    -Track: Circuit of the Americas
    -Direction: standard ccw
-Conditions/Temp: 93 degrees ambient (per IAT data)

    -Type of Ariel: SRA (NA)
-Stock or modified: Stock drivetrain, but other mods listed below
-Wheel and tire package: Hoosier A7 205/50 fronts, 275/35 rears, 2nd HC
    -Engine: K24
-Aero package: Ciro 2-element alu front, carbon 2-element rear with tall track risers and Gurney flap
    -Transmission Type: stock
-Modifications, if modified: Palatov uprights/bellcranks, MCS shocks, Accusump, AIM MXP datalogger/Smartycam, rearview camera/display, Schroth Enduro harnesses

-Anything that strongly influenced results: 200lb friend riding shotgun. This was also my first time at CotA with my high-wing Ciro setup (previously I had the Voldemort wings). The high-wing setup cost me 3.5mph in top speed (118.5mph vs 122.0 on the long back straight).

-Feedback or notes: struggled badly with overheating all weekend due to air being in the system. Was just starting to get comfortable in the 2nd session of the day and was able to get a clean lap (this 2:28.xx lap), but then immediately overheated on the next lap. I think my 200lb friend probably cost me 1-2 seconds, and a couple more reps without overheating would've gotten me another second (shortshifted in a few places when i shouldn't have, amongst other minor errors). Thankfully have sorted my overheating problems and am looking forward to my next CotA outing.

Really wish our gearbox was closer spaced to allow for higher speeds, although i think the larger issue is just the lack of power on the SRA combined with horribly awful aerodynamics. It really sucks having the high-HP guys zoom past you on the straights with a 30-40mph+ advantage and then park it in the corners. The Atom shines in the T12-15 "stadium" complex, and the T3-8 esses. I'm almost always on people's rear bumper/gearboxes exiting those sections if I'm remotely close to them on entry.

THESE CARS ARE SO MUCH FUN!!!

This is one of my bucket list road courses. I figure in about 2-3 years from now it will happen. So for now, I have to live through other Atom owners running COTA. Nice run.

Whoa, an Atom on COTA! Saw the F1 race there and thought this is not going to be an Atom track, so fast, though I think I can do those S curves flat out which should sound pretty mean. Voldemort wings!!

Yeah the S-curves are one of the few spots at CotA that are dangerous if you overcook it. If the rear steps out on you there, you end up skidding sideways into the left wall where there isn't much runoff. Many folks have binned it there, so I try to go 80-90% there to not risk it.

It's a SUPER fun course. Pretty surreal experience going through the stadium section, highly recommend making the trek.

You think they'd let me on with an Atom for the track walk portion after an F1 race? haha
