    Titanium Exhaust

I took my 3S over to B-Rogue Built. Asked about a titanium exhaust for my 3S. Is anyone else interested in getting a custom exhaust? They are a company around Chicago they specializes in exotic car performance parts and tuning. Might have seen the exhaust on daily driven exotics.

I'm definitely in the market for one for a K24/K20 frank in an SRA frame. I'm looking at either Hytech or Burns Stainless. I prefer Burns but I'm thinking it will be way too much money. I like that they have that well designed 4 into 1 collector, extensive experience with manufacturer race cars, and they can model the exhaust and optimize the design.

I'll probably skip exotic materials like iconel and titanium but I do want a competitive design and robust build for track work.

B-Rogue seems to use Burns metal, I recognize the mufflers.

Oh, and to my eyes the stock SRA exhaust is also Burns metal. If the 3S exhaust is already Burns then most likely you won't gain any more power. But you can still save weight.

I'm not sure but I think he could definitely fabricate something. How's the new tail lamps and diffuser?

Just received a Burns Stainless fabrication to my design for my AA3. The OEM muffler weighs 19lbs. The new one weighs 10lbs. The OEM is a two-stage, whereas the Burns is straight through. Added to that, the Burns is virtually the same sound level (at low rpms/throttle) with a deeper tone. Haven't yet re-tuned the ECU to correct for the reduced back pressure. Will follow-up with a report then.

Follow-up with retune. With the largest custom Burns Stainless 1 stage race muffler that would fit (2.5" inlet/outlet, 6.25" OD, ~22" long) a richer air/fuel map was required. Without track sound measurements, it's a slightly deeper tone and about the same sound level throughout the rpm band. I don't think it's quite as loud as the OEM muffler at peak rpm. It may be expensive, but it's a work of art as well. No disappointments.

To my eyes the SRA muffler is a Burns Stainless design, or at least nearly identical. My SRA was super loud but it was also the smallest muffler. I would love to try the larger Burns straight through design mufflers but I'm sure wouldn't pass Laguna Seca 92db or Thunderhill 95db sound limits. I had Burns design my header and exhaust but around a Dynomax triple pass can.
