While Fissile's post about the ECU type is correct, I'm not getting the same data from mine ('19 SRA, K24Z7).

    I'm getting:

    Throttle pos %
    RPM

    IAT
    Water/Coolant Temp

I am not getting Gear or Oil Temp (technically it's showing an oil temp but it's a constant value of 32F, which obviously isn't correct).

I'm not getting oil pressure either, even though my Dash2 does show oil pressure (and coolant temp). I'm guessing that's a separate sensor.

My throttle position % maxes at 94%.

    Anybody else experiencing something similar?

Mine is a K20. I have an AiM MXS dash attached to Hondata ECU via ODB port. Just installed it and haven't had a chance to really test it, so I'm not certain what all data it pulls from ECU. But what I do know I can get RPM and Water temp at least. For Oil pressure and Oil Temp I have separate sensors wired in. For gear I'm using a calculated math channel (need to know all the gear ratios and tire circumference).

On the K20 the oil pressure sensor is near the oil filter. Its a sensor TMI added (not stock Honda) and wired into the Dash2. I'm assuming its the same on the K24. I replaced the OP sensor from TMI with the AiM plug and play sensor.

For data analysis, three of the most important channels are throttle position, brake pressure and steering angle. It will be great if I can get throttle position from ECU. But brake and steering will require aftermarket sensors.

By the way - are you a member of the 'AiM Sports Users Group' on Facebook? If not you can go there and request to join. Lots of Q and A going on - although not Atom specific.

Thanks for the headsup on the FB group, joining now.

Unfortunately the Solo2 DL is non-expandable (ie i can't add additional sensors). I think i'm going to switch to the calculated gear, the auto-learning gear stuff on AIM I've never been able to get to work.

the Solo 2 has some nice features and at good price but thats a bummer you can't add a CAN Expansion to it. Do you have the Smarty Cam to go with it?

The MXS is considerably more $ - hope it turns out to be worth it. I pulled out the Dash2 and put the MXS in its place. Also have a bullet smarty cam. A couple of things I really like about the MXS:

    - the SRA has fans on both the radiator and the oil cooler - but they are hooked to the same relay and come on based upon water temp. Its not necessarily bad but I prefer to have each fan operating independently. With the MXS, I set up a trigger that turns on the Oil cooler fan based on Oil temp - independent of the water temp.
    - I have alerts set up on the dash - screen will flash with message when water or oil temp gets to high or oil pressure drops to low
    - also have info lights for oil and water temps - they are blue when temp is to low, green when temps are in operating zone and amber if they start getting to hot. (of course I display oil and water temp on the screen anyway - so the lights are kind of redundant).

Yeah, i just found out the non-expandability constraint on the Solo2 a few days ago from AIM. I do have the Smartycam 2.1, but the boxy one, not the bulletcam.

If/when AIM ever comes out with a 1080p bulletcam with software that allows you to view video alongside data, i'll likely pull the trigger on that along with an MXS, but given how terrible AIM's software interface is, i don't have high hopes.

Was able to adjust the physical stop so now i'm getting 98.9% throttle with the pedal to the floor.

For those of you with the AIM SmartyCam, how are you mounting your camera such that it's on the centerline of the car without blocking the air intake?

I'm using a RAM ball/swivel arm mount, but it's off-center due to having to clamp the bar a few inches to the right of centerline.

I'm sure there's a less idiotic way of mounting the camera, i just haven't landed on it yet.

Did anyone use SOLO 2 DL with regulsr AA3s ? I tried the ECU protocol mentioned here, I do get some channels but somehow can't see the data in SmartyCam footage even though I see it through Race Studio Live measures. (Might be an unrelated issue)

Please let me know how you have it setup.
