The last photo shows a broken nose cone...

I just re-read the ad and saw they already had the nose cone rebuilt... I'd pay up to probably $38k for that car, based on studying Atom prices last year for damn near a year before buying mine.
Whoever buys that is going to be really happy. If I bought it, I'd try to have it re-VIN'd as a specially constructed or custom-built vehicle, and then you'd be able to ditch the salvage title and get it fully insured. If that goes for less than $35k, I'mma have buyer's remorse.

The right front wheel has a fender yanked out in the photo with damage. I wouldn't buy it without checking the alignment to make sure the frame isn't bent from the impact.
Maybe this member knows the full story:

If the insurance bought the car and sold it as salvage someone got a nice reimbursement paycheck.

I didn't feel as though we were getting the full story about the damage. I was considering getting it just because the price was amazing. I stayed away after a little research. Of course the below photos weren't uploaded. Take a close look at them and judge for yourself. I see more damage than just a front nose cone.
"This Ariel Atom came to us from an Insurance Company in Oregon with damage to the front nose. It always ran and drove just fine, there was never any damage to the radiator. This car only got a salvage title because the front fiberglass nose was damaged and it is impossible to get a replacement nose. I took this car to my local GM dealership and have their Corvette body tech tackle the fiberglass to get the nose rebuilt to like new condition. im not sure what happened to this car as that was the only damage we could find. Im guessing maybe this atom hit some debris on the road or something else along those lines."

The main question, of course, is whether the frame is straight.
TMI has the specifications on what the frame distances should be at certain points. If that checks out then there really was no frame damage and it is probably fine. I do not have the specs anymore but when I had a track incident and bumped the frame, this is what TMI had me check before determining if I needed a new frame or not. 6 years and several thousand miles later the A2 still kicks ass! So don’t be afraid of it unless the frame is FUBAR!
On the other hand, that was some road debris!
Ok, I don't feel so bad anymore about raising red flags on this one. I can see a dent in the frame and that the wheels are pointing in different directions. Hardly a small nose cone job that's for sure.

Damn... a used car dealer being shady? I should have seen that coming.

Wow, that front end picture shows the damage to front suspension. As well as the big dent in the frame. The auction ended 3 hours early and was bid @ $35,200. Wonder why?It still might have made someone a sweet toy.
