I recently purchased mine and did a run through of it. Changed all the fluids, plugs, belts and inspected brakes and tires and such. i also took it too a very competent shop to get it corner balanced/aligned and had them go over it as well. They found 2 rod ends that were questionable and play in the steering box. I replaced the ends and just finished putting a new bushing in the steering box. There is a thread out there somewhere. It might be on the other forum as I don't see it here after a brief search.
IMHO these are the minimum required upgrades for the Brammo Ecotec Atom if you plan on tracking; Chromoly thimbles, extended shank rod ends, E85, dual pass intake, get rid of 50/50 coolant for 80/20 coolant for radiator, water/redline water wetter for the A/W heat exchanger and a gauge system that will allow you to monitor AF ratios, IAT, oil temp, boost/vac, EGT and fuel pressure). This does not include vehicle and personal safety equipment as well as a cool shirt system which I now consider mandatory for tracking.

I was thinking there was something like the uprights / hubs (cracking), bearings, rod ends, .... I'd be intending to do some serious track work with the car and would be on slicks.
2/3rd, now you're making me scared: EGT, AFR, ...., maybe I'm better off with normally aspirated or sra. I went from a roots supercharged 2nd gen Rx7 that required very close attention to the engine vitals (no fun when trying to concentrate on the track) to a relatively bullet-proof C5 Corvette. I beat the snot out of the corvette and other than constant brake pad & rotor changes its a great track car.
Shaka, thanks for the info!
Thanks

Can you guys elaborate a bit more as to where parts are to be found. I'm a brand new owner too, and just looking to get started getting my bone stock atom up to hpde track worthiness for the fall.
OEM Aurora rod ends can be a problem if they haven't been replaced...
