Thread: First track day @ MSR Houston

Thanks Gage. Like I had mentioned, I am really trying to keep the upgrades to the car to a minimum to maintain reliability at the expense of not having as much power as I would like to have. I certainly understand that if I go with a s/c upgrade and am still not happy, that a few $k has been wasted.......I hope that doesn't happen but that is the way I am leaning.........

There are satisfied Harrop customers. Silver is happy. There are Norm, Randy Lamp, Eddie Hill, and others. However, what if you find yourself much like Darth, or CalScot, wanting more after the Harrop? In that case it would have been more practical to have tried the turbo route. Darth is upgrading his power level with relative ease because of the existing foundation of Turbo Hardware.

However, you may not be be that much of a nut case/junkie about power. That would be better your sake.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the Harrop upgrade tremendously.

I responded to your PM. I do not have any way currently to measure my IAT's; however, if you do, perhaps I could bring the car to Dallas (it's only about 7 hours) and we could collect some data before I do anything else with the car.

    Let me know.

with the cost of gas you might be better off buying the aeroforce gauge lol....but seriously, I think what we've started to learn over the years is we like to make changes to fix problems that we don't have any hard data on and our blind upgrades are sometimes unsuccessful so being that you are a little newer to atom ownership it's good you can learn from our mistakes

MSR has a nice facility, but a little flat for my taste.

Eagles Cyn is worthwhile to go to.

I agree I prefer tracks with some elevation changes. My two favorite tracks I have driven are Road America and Barber.
