New high end model release: Ariel Atom 3rs

I received a newsletter with this info and now it's on the main page:
    https://www.arielna.com/arielatom/

Anyone know more about this? I'm guessing K24Z built bottom end using low compression pistons and a fancy turbo are the main bits. The trans package could just be a sequential or just hardened gears to handle the boost.

    From the website:

. Oh my goodness. Can't wait to see what it is. A sequential transmission would be fantastic! It could be like the Ariel Atom 3r in the Uk with the sequential tranny but instead of a roots style blower, it would be turbocharged. Maybe they also upgraded to 5 lug with 4 piston brakes? Darn I need to increase my cash flow for this beast!

It might also be the Civic Type R motor but it's hard to see how that would net more power than the 3s already has unless the turbine gets upgraded. So either way, I think a new turbine is a given.

Yes the 2.0 would make sense, and the Sadev sequential would work with that engine configuration based on what Ariel in the U.K mentioned.

You can only buy Honda 4s in Hondas or the Atom. Any Atom with a Honda engine is a deal in my book! But yeah, this new one is more than double the price of an SRA, ouch.

Here's my take; the Sadev trans is in excess of $15000 US where the Quaife sequential which uses part of the OE trans case from the K motor is less than half that. Go to https://shop.quaife.co.uk/quaife-hon...ential-gearkit .

So is the Quaife a direct bolt in for an Atom 3 or 3s with the K24?
Can it perform flat shifts or is another computer system requied?
That would be a nice set up!

What if it's a nice exposed linkage system for the stock manual transmission that will net slicker shifts? A sucker for manual like me can only hope right?

Yup, direct bolt in. Flat shifts are based on the ECU, not so much the trans. So, if you ran an AEM Infinity or MS, yes, flat shift until your hearts content. About 60-80 ms ignition delay should do it.
