    Question SRA Wheel Questions

We have purchased two SRAs. I need help with the wheels.

1/ Are the SRA Wheels still available?
2/ What is the offset of the SRA Wheel?
3/ What other make 15 x 7 wheels and what offset have you fitted to a SRA?

Your help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I just talked to Jessie at TMI and found out they have the SRA Wheels. They are made by D Force and have a 36 Offset.

Anyone running other make wheels on their SRA?

Good info! I can tell from this link they weigh ~13.25lbs and are flow formed.

The 15x14 wheels some of the forum owners are running are 12.5 lbs...

I'm still on stock SRA wheels this season but about to switch over to the 15x14 wheels for the next.

    Cool

cvjoint - thanks for the reply and the link. We have to run fenders here, however I'm looking into having Aluminum Fenders made if we decide on a wider wheel setup, if needed.

Good News - TMI is working on a SRA page for their website. They just built a new SRA for RoadSport Ariel in Toronto.

    See here for wheels:
    15" wheels

    See here for fenders:

That combo should allow you to run 225mm front and 295mm rear. Hoosier A7 tire works nicely. Beyond that I believe you have to go custom for both wheels and fenders.

    Question

Thanks, I have been looking at those.

Has anyone tried to fit Enki RPF1 15x7 35 Offset Wheels to a SRA? They are iisted at 9.9 Pounds. I wonder if they clear the Brakes?

Enkei wheels are popular on the S2000. I used the RP03 version. The RPF1 is the lightest but also the weakest of the Enkei. Some folks switched NT03 model to stiffen the spokes a bit. I doubt it will be an issue with the Atom though, it's so light. These are flow formed just like the stockers.

If you get custom wheels you might as well get wider ones to support the tire better, even if you want to use stock rubber. The PF01 for example comes in 8" width with the stock offset. It's probably a stronger wheel as well. I don't know what you want out of the new set of wheels. I would personally pick tire first, then go with a strong wheel and the widest your tire can take. Weight comes far third and the best way to cut weight is to go forged and not to thin out the design on the same tech (flow formed).

One tip with the Atom, you're better off doing google searches to find if someone ran this wheel and then PM them. Hardly anyone is active on forums and there are so few of us.

cvjoint, once again thank you for the information. I have found, as you said, that it is very difficult to get information on the Atom. I've only had the cars a few weeks so I hope to learn a lot more over the next few months.

If you are into fairly affordable flow formed wheels, these are another set people crossshop when looking at the Enkey RPF1:

I also believe 6UL by 949 racing fit and are very good value/performance.
