    Question SRA Shock Springs

I'm looking at buying some optional HyperCoil Springs for my SRA. Can anyone give me the original SRA Spring Specs and or the Part Numbers for HyperCoil Springs?

Have any SRA owners tested other spring rates?

Thanks to Tom from RoadSport Ariel for getting me the information on the Hypercoil Springs - The Length is 8 inches and the Inside Diameter is 2.25 Inches Please Note: I need to confirm theInsd Diameter of the Sprngs for the QA1 SRA Shocks - Stay Tuned

Hypercoil Part Number is 188A0300 for a 300

    Hypercoil - Part #18 - Spring Length 8 - A is the code for 2.25 ID - 0300 for Spring Rate

I am ordering a selection for my SRA

Running on memory here, but I believe the first SRAs had slightly different valving than the later ones. I believe the first were stiffer, rear was stiffer, I wanna say 500lbs. Later ones should be 400lbs front, 300lbs rear. Therefore I believe you are looking at a rear shock. The reason behind the rates as I understand it is that TMI wanted the fronts to warm up faster, hence the funky much stiffer front.

Overall I'd say the car is very stiffly sprung. I have 4 racetracks that I go to on a regular basis and luckily all of them are smooth, so the stiff rates are fine for my purposes. I've built up more passive damping by switching away from DOT slick carcass to radial slick. Night and day difference and I wouldn't want it any softer now. Besides, if I add aero or wider softer slicks down the line the stiff rates will be useful. I can deal with a bit of nervous damping now for adequate damping with future improvements in slicks and aero.

    Thanks for the info Elliot.

Please Note -I need to confirm the Spring Measurements for the Stock QA1 SRA Shocks. The information I first got said 2.25 but from what I see from QA1 itis 2.5 for the inside diameter. I will post an update when I can confirm.

Mark from TMI confirmed the 8 inch length and 2.25 inch inside diameter is correct. Thanks Mark.
