Atom 2 Shifter Replacement...need make or model???

I recently purchased an Atom 2 with a paddle shift system and the manual shifter had been removed. I'm looking to convert back to manual, however don't know what shifter, cables, etc. was originally in the stock Atom 2. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey, I think I know that car. I wish Terry was still around, he knew every part on every car. (He drove his atom across the country like 4 times).

The shifter was out of some model honda. TMI old their last one a few years ago and they dont remember the exact part.
It looked like this (this is a 01-05 honda civic shifter assembly)

It was not a very good shifter. It was inserted backwards (since the engine is behind the driver instead of the front) so 5th gear had to get through the normal reverse detent and was hard to hit unless you practiced).

You can barely see on this build shot the shifter on the lower right

Thanks for the help guys. Just got off the phone with David from Hybrid racing. Super knowledgeable and got a shifter out in the mail today. Part number for anyone interested is HYB-SAS-01-20

Curious as to whether this will cure the missing of 5th gear on the A2. Anyone have any sense? 5th has always been in a weird spot as mentioned above. For 300ish I'd love to cure it.

Well, I finally completed the conversion and I really love it. This is the first cable shifted car I have so it feels a little "spongy" relative to a gated transmission but everything works as it should. I never had any issues going into 5th and the only shift that seem to cause any issue at all was downshifting from 5 to 4 (and i believe that was more operator error than equipment). Since I was replacing a paddle shift system and the prior shifter had been completely removed, I had to fabricate most of the mounts and fittings. The Hybrid shifter was a beautiful piece until I had to attack it with a cut off wheel. I ended up with a few bits left over

I'm pretty confident someone simply replacing the shifter would have a much easier go and it appears to solve the mystery 5th gear issue.

This boggles the mind... Brammo had detailed CAD drawings, BOMs, etc. which I believe went to TMI in both paper and electronic form. Even if they didn't have space for the paper drawings, they should have been able to retain the electronic copies. Here is an example of what I'm talking about.

At Atomfest 2007, I talked to Simon saying I wanted to purchase Brammo's entire parts inventory to ensure that owners had a source for spare parts, and when an item ran low I could get more, or using the plans, have more fabricated. He reassured me that things were "being handled" (later on we found out TMI was taking over). He did tell me that whoever the new US manufacturer was, they were committed to being a source of spare parts and service for existing owners "forever".

What really soured me on Simon and the whole thing was that, in retrospect, they knew about the issues with the thimbles long before the first incident happened. Yet nobody said anything to US owners - not Ariel UK, not TMI, etc.

You know what boggles my mind, this was 11 years ago....jeez louise!!! (atom fest)
