New to me SRA........Need help with how to use Dash2/Race Technology System

I bought a AA SRA000021, although have been on track for many years, this is my first Atom. It came with the Dash2 Race Technology System. I am struggling to try and figure out how to use it. Can anyone offer any insight as to how I can use this system. Also can you tell me what the Red Emergency Switch is on dash, the red button is on Steering wheel and the orange wire with the female jack are for.

I have SRA #28 from 2012 but they switched to Dash2 with the Video4 data-logger around that time so I don't have the Racelogic gear, I also don't recognize any of those other pieces you describe. Do you know if you also have a Race-Technology data logger in there somewhere too? That's how I configure my Dash2 (via the Video4 Compact Flash slot) If not the Dash2 is configurable via a a serial connection to a PC but I've never had to do that. There's lots of documentation on the Race-Technology website https://www.race-technology.com/wiki...Hardware/DASH2

Does it show anything on screen at all right now? What do you want it to do?

What I get via the Dash2 basically is:

RPM (from ECU interface I think)
RPM Shift Lights (programmed via configuration software)
Speed (from GPS input)
Gear (a calculation from the Gear Ratios programmed via configuration software and current speed)
Oil Pressure and Alerts (programmed via configuration software, dedicated sensor attached to analog input)
Water Temp and Alerts (programmed via configuration software, dedicated sensor attached to analog input)

Oh I see in the picture you have a Dash3 too. That's weird. Maybe the previous owner couldn't get the Dash2 to work? There's really no reason to have both.

I know what you mean, it pretty much is a duplicate of the Dash 2 screen which appears to work fine. Maybe easier to see when driving as you don't have to look down between Steering wheel.

The Dash 2 seems to work fine. All the features you described appear to be displayed. I believe the system will capture the track data, and do a video overlay as well. This info can be put an a Scandisk card and then transferred to computer for analysis. I believe the link you provided may be what I need to understand this equipment. Will keep you posted.

I am confused, my SRA # 021 would have been constructed prior to yours, yet is has the Dash 2. Any thoughts, possibly the owner had it converted at some point? Really enjoy watching your youtube videos.

Can not wait to drive (here is Pittsburgh we are still 2 months out.)

oh I think all SRA have the Dash2 but only from around 2012 did they switch to the Video4, prior to that it was the Vbox.
