Interested in buying an atom

Hi folks I'm interested in buying an atom and wanted some feed back on the difference between the Ariel atom 2 and the Ariel atom 3 the cost difference is not to bad but not to sure how different a 2007 is compared to a 2015 pr 2016 lmk your thoughts thanks Rich

Atom2 you will have a GM Ecotec power plant. Some 2s had Honda power,but most were Ecotec. It has been argued over which is better..but it honestly is a toss up. One has more torque and the other revs higher.Both have long life spans. The three most important things when buying any car are condition condition condition. A low mile neglected car will be much more work to bring back to life than a well maintained high miler. That being said..a low mile well maintained car is the best way to buy used..however they will bring top dollar. Model year is not as much a factor as Atoms have not changed that much.The main differences have been power train and all of them have been good.(well..maybe not the very early Atoms that were Rover powered...but we don't see many of those in the States) Good luck on your quest.
