    Bent Suspension Brackets

My 2006 Ariel Atom 2 right rear suspension mounting brackets failed/bent during a track day with a 'normal' sized passenger. Any recommendations for replacements units would be appreciated. I might need to find a local metal shop to make new ones.

I have a set of the factory roller rockers that I will sell. I put on the Palatov's and haven't looked back, but, I don't think he sells them anymore. If you are interested I will dig them out and send pictures and figure out what I want for them

Thanks for the reply. I just heard back from TMI and they have the part. They will get back to me Monday on the pricing. What is the Palatov version (stronger design)?

Palatov rockers are billet aluminum with a better motion ratio. If you are running heavier springs and tracking the car they are pretty much a must have item. (along with the Palatov HD pushrods)Make sure your suspension is not binding (car lowered too much, suspension bottoming or out of alignment geometry) as the weakest link will break under those circumstances, and that usually is the stock rockers. The best way to test for full travel is to remove the coil spring from the shock (easy to do) reinstall the shock and put a jack under the tire and cycle the suspension through full travel. The rocker must not go too far over center as this will also cause it to collapse. I have two sets (8 in total) of stock rockers that are surplus (if you go that route) and want to save some money over new prices. I removed my stockers within a few hundred miles of new.

Just to clarify, what I have is not the pressed steel that failed you. These look like the Palatov rockers, but, don't have the improved ratio of them. These are the optional rockers from the factory that were available when your car was new

Thank you Norm and MadMaxAtom! I appreciate your help, education, and offering up available parts. Very cool. I will get back to you on potentially taking you up on the available stock rockers. I have a note into Palatov, TMI, and a local suspension/track fabricator. I will know more later in the week.

Looks like I will be going with a new Palatov setup for my track needs. Safer and better ride. Thank you for helping! I will send pictures in a couple of months after complete.

^ Good choice and glad to hear Palatov will still supply them. Don't forget to make sure your suspension is not binding/bottoming.You can lower the car..but make sure you have travel and are keeping the geometry within specs.

I have 2 I'll sell one is reinforced, one is not, you can see the non-reinforced one is starting to bend but it's still viable, $50 plus shipping if you want them to get you up and running while waiting on the Palatov, or if you just want spare parts. I no longer have my atom so these sit in my bin doing nothing.
