More details after I pick it up. With pictures I hope.

I'll be driving it home from AZ to Charlotte. ~2,100 miles over 2.5 days.
Should I stop at the south side of the grand canyon?

Any suggestions on what to "pack" for my drive?

I have a list but I have not figured out how to keep my backpack dry and I wonder what I will forget.

Lots of sunscreen. A good hat. Water proof backpack. I keep a motorcycle rain suit in the boot. The ATMs are noisy at high speeds on the interstates. Ear plugs or an iPod with good head set. You can get real hot cooking in the sun. Drink lots of water!

I'm excited for ya... I'm not too far from you - in Raleigh.

I hope to add an Ariel to the garage soon!

Make sure your insurance covers towing and roadside assistance, in case of a failure you don't want to be stranded...for a trip that distance I'd probably try to pack a container of fuel and water just in case, but if you have towing / roadside assistance that'll cover those too, I'd pick up spare fuses too.

Ear plugs, or good ear buds, goggles if it doesn't have a windshield, hat as was mentioned and sunscreen, fill up every 100 ish miles you never know if the fuel gauge is accurate (on the atom 2 they weren't' adjusted well from the factory)

I ended up with rally insurance and that does have the towing

is the fuel gauge accurate in the atom 3? I was planning on every 200 miles.

I don't think I ever went 200 miles on a tank, I would think 150 is pushing it but maybe I was extra cautious. I never got more than 8 gallons in the tank even when it was empty, mixed driving @ 20mph is 160 miles / tank, I would usually get 6.5 gallons in the tank so perhaps somewhere in the 150-200 mile range is all you'd expect to get, of course if you get on it, that will lessen

When I checked the MPG I got 25mpg with some spirited driving with my Atom 3 supercharged and the gas gauge was spot on but that is my car. The rain suit is a must for your drive maybe even a helmet to keep the noise down and protect in rain. A tire plug kit with either a small compressor or the CO2 bottles will keep the tow truck from coming. Light summer motorcycle gloves will keep the sun from burning them and give some more comfort from the wheel. Oh, extra shoes in case of rain as their is nothing worse than having your feet wet even after the rain stops. The prior owner of my car picked it up brand new from TMI and drove it back to Arizona stopping along the way to have all the fluids changed even the tranny fluid!
