Would that advice be applicable for a 2010 US Atom 3 or have the uprights seen improvement? And if beefier uprights are needed, where do you get them?

Mark at TMI told me that beefier uprights that were tested on the Atom V8 are coming. They are already available at Ariel UK.

Good question. I bet they would. It wouldn't make much sense to change the uprights from the Atom 2 to the Atom 3 IMO. Hopefully.

And, since the Palatov uprights are now quite a bit more expensive to future purchasers, the price difference to Gold Standard Uber High quality Unique Fabricating versions isn't so vast.

Except that the atom two (brammo) doesn't use a heim joint on the bottom connection. Ie.... Won't work.

Edit: I see the link is to the UK atom 2 parts.. yes that should fit.

Mark has sworn up and down to me that as long as you check the torque on the castle nut regularly, that I will not eat wheel bearings... time will tell.

The fact that there is a castle nut suggests something is different than the atom 2. But, that said, people are eating bearings - and some of those folks, like Randy, were checking that nut after every session at the track!

The FIRST thing I'd spend any money on a stock US Atom would be the rear uprights. I consider that a required update/fix, not an upgrade. Then you can start with the other stuff (DP bellcranks, pushrods).

Suspension mods before power mods, I always say.

    Agreed with the Spaz.

Also, for Norm: I'm running 50N/mm front, 90N/mm rear.

WOW Karl that is a huge change from stock. Stock is 30/40, I am 40/60 and thinking of more. Did you go that stiff for a specific issue or more overall balance / better suspension
