    Lights

Sorry guys I have been too busy working on the car and I have not taken the time to look at this thread.

Anyway the lights were a about $90 each http://www.demonscycle.com/Lights-an...-p6688439.html . I made some special brackets and I have no idea and to be honest interest, if they are legal. If a policeman wants to give me a ticket he will find a way.

The engine is in and I am in the process of re-plumbing the oil system. The original system had some foaming issues that were causing some issues. I have changed the sump and the oil pump for a second generation set-up. This means that I can no longer use the low-pressure cooling system that I had in the car when I got it. Dennis had used the scavenge pump to pump the oil around the inter-cooler. With the air separator on the scavenge pump, I can no longer cool the oil on the low pressure side. So, I have to package a new cooler and re-plum the whole system. I am hoping to have that done this week and get the car running. Then I will have a chance to run it in before I go to high plains raceway on the weekend before July 4th.

I still have to make the new air-box to replace the prototype in the picture. This one works better than the beautiful plastic ones that came with the car. The only change I am going to make with the next one is to add sound absorbing material, as my ears were bleeding with the prototype.

The air tabs in-front of the wheels where in the way when I pulled the tub off of the frame so I cannot show you the tabs right-now. I will post more pictures as I get the car together.

If possible I'd like to meet up with you at high plains over the holiday weekend. I'm planning to be in denver visiting family for the holiday anyway, so I'd just have to bring the atom along and work out the track details. From what I've been able to find out though, the SCCA event does not seem very inviting to outsiders. One of the colorado SCCA people told me that the only "open" session will be on the friday before, but the HPR guy told me that the friday sessions are only for race entrants. Will you be racing your atom? Is there even a class for it? Anyway, I'd be interested in hearing what your plans are; I'd hate to show up with an atom just to sit in the stands.

Rhoutris, did you ever get the Atom up and running? We made it up to HPR this last weekend and it was very fun. Everything was a little last minute and forgot to see if you were headed there. Still, fantastic track and the whole trackday cost only ~$800 despite being nearly 500 miles away and having to rent a truck for hauling.

It'd be nice to go back soon and attempt a "molecule" out there.
