Atom NY

Hey guys can't seem to find what im looking for, which is the best way to register the car in NYS..I was thinking as a kit car or a custom specialty vehicle. Thoughts? I don't have one yet but I suppose I'd still get one if I could only drive at track but would be added bonus to hit the street occasionally. I see dune buggies and all sorts of stuff here but cant find many people that own an atom in NY

I'm pretty sure there's no way to register one with NY plates, you can look at montana as an alternative though (google it)

I was thinking go for the custom/specialty vehicle. There's a few dune buggy things in town. I just don't get why they give you a hard time when its safer than a sport bike
