IDk if your gonna come close as everyone thinks their older atoms are worth $70+k even when they have be thrashed/tracked/modded. People do seem to be paying these prices too which is surprising to me. I'd love to find one myself anywhere near the amount you mentioned (I don't think there has a drivable one ever sold in the 30k range so you may need to raise that amount just a bit) as that should be the price but I doubt there is one being sold right now anywhere near that.
so sad, too bad...
In the end, you may just want to go ahead and order a new one as it will likely be cheaper then a used one and at least you know what you are truly getting.
There have been plenty of Atoms for sale over the years, ranging from high 30's to 70's. The newer and better equipped they are,the more they bring. That is what is called market pricing. All your whining about the "high" prices is really juvenile and irritating. I am sure if you were selling an Atom, you would price it below market price..right? Didn't think so...
The power of an Atom is a terrible thing to waste! Atom owner/operator since 2007. The more you chase perfection, the faster it becomes. John Force for President! (I asked him once in person...he laughed)

^ Maybe, maybe not. I have been involved with Atoms for quite a few years, and have bought and sold a few..so you newbies haven't really seen much of what is actually going on in the Atom market. Live and learn.

"Ive been watching the market on and off for over 2 years.." Lots of people watch
I've been buying and selling Atoms for 7 years, with many exciting miles spent behind the wheel of various Atoms. Living a dream car dream.
Don't wait for prices to fall forever...

Market Update:
Here are the prices of used Atoms we have sold this year:
2006 Atom 2 (300 hp GM EcoTec) 2,300 mi - lots of CF and mods - $67,000
2012 Atom 3 (300 hp Honda K20) 19,800 mi - nice options - $68,000
2013 Atom 3 (300 hp Honda K24) 2,600 mi - loaded - $80,000
2013 Atom 3 (350 hp Honda K24 FMW Turbo) 8,100 mi - loaded - $81,000
As you can see, nice cars with good options bring fair prices. You can buy a new Atom for less money, but it won't be a 300+ hp model. (The new 365hp 2015 Atom 3S starts at $90K).
Which model/power output is right for you depends on your mission for the car. If I can ever help walk you through which options may be needed, and may not, please don't hesitate to call. I love talking Ariel Atoms, and frequently have a car available either immediately, or within a few short weeks.
