How come the price is almost the same as a brand new one?

I have about 80 in it, it is nearly as new, AND, it is registered/titled for road use, not an easy feat in New England.

I sold my 7 year old atom for more than I paid for it new (not including all the money I paid for upgrades but that's semantics) , these cars do not follow normal depreciation lines. it all depends on car / buyer / seller, there's no format to follow on why one sells for different than another except the particulars of that exact sale.

A 'new one' takes time to build too. Then there's delivery fees if you're a ways from the factory. If you want it NOW, seller's might be less flexible on asking price.

I talked to you about buying yours about 3-4 years ago. I think I instructed you in it at a BMWCCA autocross too. I've seen some Atom 2's from 40K to 70K used, trying to figure out the variables.

I don't know any cars that only lose 5K realistically in 4 years even with low mileage. Ok maybe a Ford GT.

The Atom isn't "any" car.....and yes,I am quite biased (due to years of ownership of more than one) ...but it is true. It is more like a 4 wheeled motorcycle experience.

If you like the way they look and drive, there really isn't much else to do but buy one at the going price,(new or used) and decide once and for all if it is a keeper.

The good thing is,if you decide you don't care for the car,it is fairly easy to sell...and not usually at a loss,as long as you haven't wadded it up..neglected it somehow,or put some ungodly amount of money into it...

The power of an Atom is a terrible thing to waste! Atom owner/operator since 2007. The more you chase perfection, the faster it becomes. John Force for President! (I asked him once in person...he laughed)

hi, does this car have the K20 or K24 engine? I think that year only had the 2.0?

    thanks!
