How hard is it to get to the plugs on both the Ecotech and Honda engines to perform a leakdown and compression test? I did a search but came up negative.

Ecotec Atom2s will require you to remove both tea trays/scoops (and optional race roll bar) and the air filter/coolant reservoir mounting bracket to gain access to the top of the engine, where the COPs (coil over plugs) are located.Without race roll bar(RRB),figure on less than 1/2 hr. taking your time. Add about 15 minutes to get RRB off. You don't have to drain the coolant, just set the bottle to one side. No special tools required..mainly metric and SAE Allen wrenches. Can't tell you about the Honda models.

The power of an Atom is a terrible thing to waste! Atom owner/operator since 2007. The more you chase perfection, the faster it becomes. John Force for President! (I asked him once in person...he laughed)
It's the same for the Honda, the plug access is directly below the back half of the snorkel.
OK, so not too bad and a prospective buyer "should" understand why you want to dismantle his car. LOL
