New Member - Looking For Atom - Dallas (45K)

Hello all,

New member and currently looking to find myself an Atom! I am currently located in the DFW metroplex (Dallas TX).

I have a budget of up to 45K for a first atom to test out the waters. I am only looking to purchase from a dealer (no individuals please).

I have been browsing ebay, Dupont, etc and am having a hard time locating used atoms. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Why would you purchase only from a dealer? Most of these cars are treasured toys. If your not sure what your buying , first do some homework and then hire a knowledgeable mechanic to give you an honest assessment of the car. For a few hundred bucks its the best money you'll ever spend. I get hired all the time to evaluate MG cars but I'm brutally honest with my client.

I have just had too many terrible experiences purchasing vehicles from individuals over the years is all. Something I absolutely will not do anymore in the future.

I think you'll find that will be very limiting.

From all the dealer ads I've seen for Atoms, rarely does the ad convey the detail (both for service history or even equipment on the car) that the actual owner would. That puts the buyer at a disadvantage as you won't have a high degree of certainty on what you're getting. Heck, I'd say that dealer ads have just plain wrong information in them at least 50% of the time.

If you are dead set against a private party sale why not take a ride and visit Eddie Hill,who runs a Texas based Ariel Atom dealership,is an avid Atom owner and all around stellar guy. I am certain he can steer you in the right direction!

I'm Eddie FourFather Hill, and my dealership is in Wichita Falls. I have three Atoms here, and two new ones ready to sell that are still at the Atom factory in Virginia.

This is my 2012 Ariel Atom 3 company car/demonstrator, shown here at Hallett Motor Raceway near Tulsa. We are demonstrating there once a month, weather permitting.

I demonstrate this car at Eagles Canyon Raceway near Decatur, Texas, at least once a month, weather permitting, and I would be happy to show and tell. I I love talking Atom.

Eddie I actually spoke to you the other day (Chris in Dallas) on the phone, apparently someone was coming from Houston to pick up that used atom you have. If that deal falls through please contact me ASAP!

As someone who is in the Dallas area, you'll be paying quite a premium for a local Atom from a dealership. Private individual is the way to go. Atoms are special cars and the owners will know more about Atoms than any dealership will.

If you need financing, I also know a local credit union that can help as well.

We need more Dallas Atom owners. I'm feeling lonely. haha.
