Ariel Atom 2 or Atom 3

    Hi everyone,

I'm new to the Ariel Atom Chat. I am looking at purchasing a used Atom 2 (UK version with K20 R motor). I am a little concerned that I may have problems finding parts for an Atom 2 and also future re-sale value. I don't know if I should get an Atom 2 or Atom 3. I want to get whichever model I will lose the least money on when it comes time to re-sell. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Eddie Hill has a UK 2 he's selling - look in the for sale section here. There aren't that many UK 2's in the US (a dozen, maybe 2 dozen) compared to Brammo 2's (110 or so) and TMI 3's (many). Despite that, parts availability is good. TMI will have any parts that remain the same on the 3 (rod ends, etc.) and can get any parts they don't have from the UK. The UK factory still has some 1's that they service, so parts "back to the beginning" are generally available.
